Torchlight atinge a marca de 500.000 unidades vendidas (PC)

Torchlight é definitivamente um fenômeno, um título que surgiu de uma desenvolvedora independente, que quase ninguém conhecia ou acompanhava seu histórico até então, composta inicialmente por algo em torno de 15 a 20 integrantes, mas que desde que foi lançado há aproximadamente 6 meses, Torchlight já vem acumulando prêmios e se tornou um jogo obrigatório para qualquer fã de um bom rpg hack 'n slash no estilo Diablo.

Um novo marco para o jogo veio essa semana, Torchlight acaba de atingir a marca de 500.000 cópias vendidas desde o seu lançamento, um belo número para um título que não possuía nome algum ou sequer uma grande campanha de marketing por trás.

Claro que não podemos esquecer que o jogo vem recebendo promoções constantes desde que foi lançado, atualmente o título se encontra com 50% de desconto no Steam em comemoração à sua chegada ao Mac, mas isso não diminui o fato de que Torchlight realmente cresceu como jogo e projeto, um marco bastante interessante para a Runic Games, que desde então teve sua equipe e escritórios expandidos, e atualmente conta com diversos projetos em mente, como as já citadas possibilidades de um Torchlight para os consoles, Torchlight 2 para os PCs, ou ainda o MMO planejado para os PCs.
